This year I decided to concentrate my efforts and enter a few more shows. I was desperate to win out of A with Darcy and I was hopeful that Ellie would also win some rosettes.
 Last year Darcy suffered a lot with over-enthuasiasm which results in a lot of noise when he does heelwork. He doesn’t bark, rather he “sings” which is annoying and definitely markable! If you are going to win a class, you can’t afford to give away marks on something like “noise”. I’ve been really working on this and tried lots of different methods to help. Unfortunately some of the methods made him a lot worse but my current approach seems to be improving things. It must be making a difference as we have had rosettes galore!!!
Ellie has also had a good season, winning out of Novice and forcing me to get on and train the higher exercises!
